Published in 1996 this is a great autobiography of a Central Australian pioneer.

Pearl Powell, with the help of her daughter Eileen McRae, recalled the disappearing history of those pioneers who, at the beginning of the 20th century, helped open up Central Australia.

Some lovely photos accompany the detailed text, illuminating the hardships but also the good times people had in that era.
Another great little history book found in an op shop.
