This fun book, published in 1983, was found tucked away at the back of an op shop for 50 cents and has wrought it's value, and much more, in laughter.
A very droll retelling of Aussie history in pocket book form, the facts are still presented but with a dry wit to curry up what is sometimes taught as a bland and boring time line of events and happenings that occurred to shape Australia.

It is still in print - in a second 'bicentennial' edition. Ane yes, it is both funnier and more informative than most histories.
